Pacific Standard Time or PST for short is 8 hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC - 8:00). During the months when daylight savings is observed, Pacific time zone changes to Pacific Daylight Time or PDT which is 7 hours behind Universal Time (UTC -07:00).
